Federal Funding for Public Health remains FLAT.
Trust for America's Health (TFAH) and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation have released the annual Investing in America’s Health report, which finds that federal funding for public health remains at a relatively flat and insufficient level. And at the state level, according to a TFAH analysis, 40 states decreased their public health budgets from FY 2009-10 to FY 2010-11, 30 states decreased budgets for a second year in a row and 15 for three years in a row.
